Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking experienced Planning Managers to lead the planning and scheduling for critical UK energy infrastructure projects. Based across Scotland, you will oversee onshore, offshore and development programs, guiding teams and ensuring schedules are realistic and well-coordinated.

You will collaborate with project, commercial, engineering and site delivery teams, provide strategic guidance, manage risks, and report performance to enable informed decisions throughout the project

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning teams on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of schedule development and risk analysis.
• Experience with NEC3 or FIDIC contracts is beneficial.
• Willingness to travel between SSE sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop planning teams to deliver schedules.
• Oversee baselining and management of robust project schedules.
• Provide strategic planning guidance using schedule analysis.
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors and stakeholders.
• Establish planning standards and support delivery.
