Job summary

SSEN Transmission is seeking experienced Planning professionals to support national projects across onshore, offshore and development teams. You will develop, maintain and analyse project schedules using Primavera P6, helping managers track milestones, risks and actions.

The role requires strong communication with project teams and stakeholders, travel to SSE offices and project sites when required. Permanent, full-time with flexible working options and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• Experience in a planning or scheduling role in major infrastructure, construction, energy or large capital projects.
• Good working knowledge of Primavera P6, able to build, maintain and analyse project schedules.
• Understanding of project controls and contract planning requirements, NEC3 or FIDIC experience beneficial.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to work with internal teams, contractors and delivery partners.
• Proactive, organised and solution-focused with good Microsoft 365 skills and willingness to travel to SSE offices/sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage high-quality project schedules across the full lifecycle from development to energisation.
• Use Primavera P6 to build, update and analyse project plans, identifying milestones, progress and risks.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineering, commercial, site delivery and contractors to create aligned programmes.
• Review and improve schedules to support informed decision making.
• Provide clear reporting and insight to help leaders understand performance and actions.
