Job summary

Pool Hayes Academy in Willenhall is seeking a creative and organised Science Technician to support with resources and practical activities in the Science department. The successful candidate will work with class teachers to enhance students' practical learning experiences.

The academy emphasises safeguarding, health and safety, and equality. Applicants should have GCSE 4/C+ including English and Maths and stay calm under pressure. DBS clearance will be enhanced; flexible working is welcomed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Support with resources, learning and technical support to meet the needs of the Science department.
  • Provide practical activity support to teachers and students during experiments and demonstrations.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and safeguarding requirements at all times.

Pool Hayes Academy are looking to appoint a creative and organised Science Technician, with a real drive to enhance students' experience of secondary education. The successful candidate will work in partnership with class teachers to support with resources, learning and technical support to meet the needs of the Science department.

Our Academy is a well led, dynamic team, whose colleagues all enjoy supporting the Academy and its culture of outstanding success amongst our students. The appointed candidate will ensure compliance with health and safety and security measures at all times and support teachers and students with practical activities.

The ideal candidate will have a good basic level of education to GCSE level 4/C+ (to include English and Maths), have an awareness of health and safety regulations relating to practical subjects in schools and have the ability to keep calm under pressure., Our ATT2030 Vision means we meet our young people where they are at and refuse to leave them there.
