Job summary

The Ongar Academy invites applications for an enthusiastic, reliable laboratory technician to support the Science Department and assist with practical lessons.

You will organise and store chemicals safely, prepare equipment, and help set up apparatus as required. An enhanced DBS check is required, and safeguarding is a core part of this role.

Qualifications

We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, reliable, technician to support the Science Department.

Are you organised with a knowledge of Health and Safety and the ability to prepare, store and dispose of chemicals safely in a laboratory environment. Responsibilities will include helping across the science department at The Ongar Academy with a range of duties. You will need to provide relevant equipment, resources, and chemicals to support classroom practical lessons, plus the setting up of apparatus as requested.
