Job summary

TeacherActive Limited. is seeking a qualified Science Teacher for a full-time, long-term temporary role in Newport with an immediate start.

The successful candidate will plan and deliver Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4, assess progress and support students of varying abilities to achieve their potential. The position offers market-rate PAYE pay, ongoing CPD, 24/7 consultant support and a referral scheme.

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Status / QTS with a Science specialism (NQTs are welcome to apply).
• Experience teaching Science across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4.
• Strong knowledge of the Science curriculum, including Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A confident, adaptable and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4 (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
• Assess student progress and adapt teaching to varying abilities.
• Maintain high standards of classroom behaviour and safety.
• Support students to reach their full potential and confidence in learning.

Salary: £172.98 - £210 per day

The school is looking to appoint a dedicated Science Teacher on a full-time, long-term temporary basis with an immediate start. The successful Science Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, covering Biology, Chemistry and Physics, assessing student progress, managing classroom behaviour and supporting students of varying abilities to achieve their full potential.

The successful Science Teacher will have:
