Job summary

Tradewind Recruitment LTD. is seeking a Secondary Science Teacher for Lincoln. This role offers daily supply and long-term opportunities across a range of local secondary schools.

We welcome applications from experienced Science Teachers, ECTs, or those seeking flexible work arrangements. You will teach KS3/KS4 topics in Biology, Chemistry or Physics and contribute to GCSE readiness with engaging, investigative lessons.

Qualifications

• Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Enhanced DBS Disclosure, overseas police clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
• CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible.
• Legal right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Science lessons.
• Have a strong understanding of the Science National Curriculum.
• Deliver a range of scientific topics and concepts across KS3 and KS4.
• Teach Biology, Chemistry and Physics topics depending on your specialism.
• Develop students' understanding of scientific concepts, theories and processes.
• Encourage students to develop their scientific enquiry, practical and investigative skills.
• Plan and deliver engaging practical experiments and demonstrations where appropriate.
• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing feedback and support.
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations and other assessments.

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and inclusive Science lessons

• Encourage students to analyse data, interpret results and draw evidence-based conclusions
• Use a range of teaching strategies to support pupils with diverse learning needs and abilities

• Assess and monitor pupil progress, providing appropriate feedback and support
• Prepare students effectively for GCSE examinations and other relevant assessments
