Qualifications

• Previous Science Technician or laboratory experience.
• Confident handling of equipment and chemicals.
• Knowledge of COSHH and laboratory health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare practical equipment and materials before lessons.
• Support teachers with experiments and demonstrations.
• Ensure laboratories are set up and ready for practical work.
• Clean, check and maintain scientific equipment.
• Manage stock and keep resources readily available.
• Assist with safe storage and handling of chemicals.
• Report damaged or faulty equipment and maintain tidy work areas.
