Qualifications

• Previous laboratory, technical or school experience.
• Knowledge of scientific equipment and practical procedures.
• Good understanding of laboratory health and safety.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment, chemicals and resources for practical lessons.
• Set up and clear laboratories before and after lessons.
• Support teachers during experiments and demonstrations.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and preparation areas.
• Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering.
• Follow COSHH, CLEAPSS and wider health and safety procedures.
• Ensure chemicals and scientific materials are stored safely.
• Maintain accurate equipment and stock records.
• Report faulty or damaged equipment.
• Support the wider Science Department with practical requirements.
