Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid right to work in the UK.
• A clear and up‑to‑date Enhanced DBS check.
• A UK Science Degree (or recognized overseas equivalent).
• A strong working knowledge of Health & Safety standards.
• Previous experience working in a laboratory setting or as a school Science Technician in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate closely with science teachers to prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical lessons.
• Safely maintain, store, and repair laboratory resources and equipment.
• Act as a safety advisor, guiding pupils and staff on proper protocols, regulations, and safe working practices.
• Oversee stock levels and place timely orders for new materials and replacements.
• Ensure the safe and compliant disposal of hazardous laboratory waste.
