Job summary

Qualifications

• Background in science, either academic or practical.
• Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
• Good attention to detail and health & safety awareness.
• Able to work effectively as part of a busy school team.
• Previous experience as a Science Technician is desirable; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Prepare equipment, materials and chemicals for practical science lessons.
• Set up and clear away experiments in line with health and safety guidelines.
• Maintain, organise and order stock and equipment.
• Support practical lessons where required.
• Ensure laboratories are safe, clean and compliant with regulations.
• Assist with risk assessments and safe storage of chemicals.
