Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Science Technician for a busy secondary school in Sutton. You will support Biology, Chemistry and Physics through practical lessons, prep resources and maintain laboratory equipment.

You’ll follow COSHH and health and safety procedures, help with stock control and assist staff with demonstrations. This is a permanent, full-time post commencing in October with regular school hours.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Science Technician or laboratory role.
• Good organisation and reliability with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Knowledge of practical science across Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare materials and equipment for practical lessons.
• Set up experiments and demonstrations.
• Maintain and organise laboratory equipment and stock.
• Support teachers with practical activities.
• Carry out routine checks and report equipment issues.
• Follow COSHH and health and safety procedures.
