Job Title: Science Graduate Learning Mentor; Location: Dorchester; Salary: 94 per day; Contract: Full-Time, Temporary-Permanent, Term-Time Only; Start Date: ASAP

Are you a recent graduate with a passion for science or psychology? Do you want to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Prospero Teaching are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Mentor to join a supportive school in Dorchester, working with students aged 11-16.

About the Role

  • Support students in small groups and one-to-one sessions to boost their confidence and academic progress.
  • Help students overcome barriers to learning, both academic and emotional.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to identify students who would benefit from additional support.
  • Inspire and motivate students to engage with science and develop a love for learning.

Ideal Candidate

  • A degree in Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics) or other relevant subject, including Psychology.
  • Passionate about education and supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
