Job summary

St Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Multi-Academy Trust is seeking a meticulous School Transport Coordinator to lead planning, coordination and optimisation of our school transport logistics across the Newcastle-Under-Lyme and Stoke-On-Trent region. The role ensures safe, compliant, cost-effective transport for pupils and staff, with responsibility for route planning, fleet coordination and data management.

You will manage end-to-end transport operations, deploying resources, vehicles and drivers

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Logistics, Administration, or a related field

Responsibilities

• Plan, optimise, and manage daily transport routes and schedules
• Coordinate transport for trips, fixtures, and ad-hoc requirements
• Manage external transport providers where required
• Schedule and track servicing, MOTs, inspections, and preventative maintenance
• Maintain full compliance with transport legislation and school policies
• Monitor vehicle safety checks and maintain audit-ready records
• Arrange driver training, assessments, and compliance checks
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new drivers
• Ensure driver schedules align with route and service demands
• Ensure adherence to the School's Minibus Policy and regulatory requirements
• Act as the central point of contact for transport-related queries
