North Northamptonshire Council is hiring a Transport Supply Officer to join the Home to School Transport Team. The role involves assessing transport applications, reviewing EHCPs, and arranging transport that is safe, efficient and cost-effective for SEND and mainstream students.

You’ll work in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team, handling coordination with parents, schools and providers. The position is hybrid in Kettering and paid hourly.

Qualifications

• Assess home to school transport applications for eligibility.
• Review information from parents, schools and EHCPs to identify transport needs.
• Arrange transport provision that is safe, efficient and cost-effective.

Responsibilities

• Assess eligibility and arrange suitable transport for SEND and mainstream students.
• Allocate students to routes and maintain passenger information.
• Respond to enquiries in a professional, customer-focused manner.
• Liaise with schools, transport providers and internal teams to deliver arrangements.
• Maintain databases and reports in line with GDPR and safeguarding requirements.
