Job summary

5 Star Recruitment is seeking an experienced Transport Coordinator in Monmouthshire to plan and arrange passenger transport for home to school and social services. You will liaise with clients and providers to ensure efficient, compliant services under the 1985 Transport Act and Learner Travel Wales measures.

The role involves preparing tender specifications, evaluating bids, monitoring contracts, and maintaining records on costs and DBS compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience procuring and implementing home to school transport within a commissioning environment.
• Knowledge of home to school passenger transport services and systems.
• Ability to develop, record, analyse and report contracts using computer systems.
• Awareness of safeguarding regulations, DBS requirements and data protection (GDPR).
• Ability to monitor school transport contracts and read legal documents.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Welsh language skills are desirable.
• A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Procure and implement home to school transport contracts.
• Monitor, review and ensure compliance with contract specifications.
• Prepare tender specifications for passenger transport and related services.
• Maintain records in CTX, DBS, and other systems; manage risk assessments.
• Collaborate with schools, authorities, operators and social services for delivery.
• Lead safeguarding and incident investigations as required.
