Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a ChS Driver NBG086 to join the TSU Operations team. The role involves transporting children and adults to schools and day centres, with duties including assisting passengers, performing safety checks, and maintaining the vehicle to ensure reliability.

The position is permanent, 25 hours per week, split shifts during term time, based at Baxter College, Kidderminster, with a DBS check required and a County Council driving assessment prior to interview.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 21 years.
• DBS disclosure service required.
• County Council driving assessment before interview.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain good communication with the Passenger Assistant, passengers, and members of the public.
• Assist with moving passengers, including using a tail lift, and wheelchair securing as required.
• Carry out basic vehicle administration, keep the vehicle clean, and top up with fuel.
• Always carry out safety checks on the vehicle before collection and drive safely.
• Drive a vehicle on a split shift to transport individuals to their destination in the morning and afternoon.
