Worcestershire County Council is seeking a ChS Driver NBG086 to join the TSU Operations team in Kidderminster, with base at Baxter College and rotations to Rigby Hall School. The role is 25 hours per week during term time, with split shifts to transport learners safely.

You will provide passenger assistance, operate a tail lift, secure wheelchairs, carry out safety vehicle checks, and keep the vehicle clean and fueled.

Qualifikationen

• Communicate effectively with the Passenger Assistant, passengers and the public.
• Be part of a team supporting individuals with their travel needs.
• Be able to operate a tail lift and secure wheelchairs when required.
• Keep the vehicle in good order and clean; top up fuel as needed.
• Perform safety checks on the vehicle before collection and drive safely.
• Meet licence requirements (D1) and discuss PSV if needed; up to 6 penalty points.
• Be fit to drive and pass a medical checklist before a driving assessment.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain good communication with the Passenger Assistant, passengers and the public.
• Work as part of a team with the Passenger Assistant to support individuals during travel.
• Assist with moving passengers, including tail lift use and wheelchair securing.
• Maintain the vehicle with basic administration, cleaning and fueling.
• Carry out safety checks on the vehicle before collection and drive safely.
• Drive on a split shift to transport individuals to their destinations (morning and afternoon).
• Ensure correct licensing, DBS check, and pass county driving assessment.
