Job summary

Washington Academy in Consilium Academies is seeking an experienced Site Manager to lead day-to-day premises and facilities operations. You will manage maintenance and repairs while coordinating the facilities team and contractors to keep the site safe, welcoming and well maintained.

This permanent, full-time role offers a hands-on leadership challenge with opportunities to deliver capital improvements and a strong emphasis on high standards, customer service and effective reporting using IT

Qualifications

• Experience managing school, commercial or public sector facilities.
• Hands-on practical leader able to undertake maintenance tasks with the team.
• Excellent knowledge of health and safety and building maintenance.
• Able to manage contractors and coordinate multiple priorities.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Committed to high standards and excellent customer service.
• Confident using IT systems to manage records and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, secure and efficient operation of the school site.
• Oversee premises compliance, health and safety, and statutory inspections.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance.
• Manage contractors and facilities staff.
• Control site opening/closing procedures and emergency responses.
• Maintain grounds, cleaning and housekeeping standards.
• Support capital projects and estate improvements.
• Maintain accurate compliance and maintenance records.
