We are seeking an experienced and hands‑on Site Manager to join a supportive secondary school in Washington. This is an excellent opportunity for an accomplished facilities professional to take operational responsibility for a busy school site and lead the effective delivery of premises and facilities services.
The successful Site Manager will ensure the school premises remain safe, secure, compliant, well‑maintained, and fit for purpose. This is not solely a supervisory position; the role requires someone comfortable managing facilities operations while personally undertaking practical site duties alongside the wider team.
As Site Manager, you will coordinate facilities staff and contractors while overseeing compliance, maintenance, security, housekeeping, cleaning, porterage, and grounds‑related activity.
This Site Manager role would suit an experienced facilities professional who can combine operational leadership with practical delivery. A successful Site Manager will lead by example, maintain high standards across the site, and play a central role in ensuring the school remains safe, compliant, and fully operational.
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff and candidates to share this commitment. All successful applicants will be subject to appropriate safeguarding and compliance checks in line with regulatory requirements and the REC Code of Professional Practice.
