Job summary

REAch2 Academy Trust is seeking an experienced Site Manager for Globe Primary Academy in Lancing to lead daily site operations, maintenance and safety across buildings and grounds. You will oversee contractors, supervise premises staff and ensure a clean, secure, compliant environment for pupils and staff.

The role requires proactive, organized professionals with strong health & safety knowledge and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing school or similar premises setting.
• Strong ability to perform general maintenance and minor repairs.
• Solid knowledge of health and safety, including CoSHH, manual handling, Legionella and asbestos regulations.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate with contractors.
• Physically capable of performing site duties including lifting and manual tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure buildings and grounds are clean, tidy and well maintained.
• Implement daily housekeeping and health and safety routines.
• Carry out repairs, maintenance and DIY tasks as needed.
• Monitor cleaning standards and supervise cleaning staff.
• Oversee contractors and small maintenance projects with quotes and progress checks.
• Conduct checks and compliance tasks (fire alarms, emergency lighting, water hygiene, asbestos, PAT).
• Maintain site security and respond to emergency call-outs as keyholder.
• Monitor energy usage and manage utilities readings.
• Support events, porterage and room setups, and manage deliveries.
