Job summary

Brighton & Hove City Council is seeking a reliable caretaker for St Marks CE Primary School in Brighton to maintain a welcoming and safe environment for the whole school community.

Duties include unlocking and locking the site, security checks, maintaining health and safety records, property and grounds upkeep, stock monitoring, DIY tasks, and attending training including Health and Safety.

Part-time role of 20 hours per week with some flexibility and a DBS check.

Qualifications

• Experience as a site manager/caretaker or related role.

Responsibilities

• Unlocking and locking the school, and carrying out security checks.
• Carry out and record statutory checks and maintain Health and Safety records.
• Maintenance of property and grounds to a high standard, including liaising with contractors.
• Monitor site stock and order supplies.
• Carry out DIY beyond basic tasks, plus some cleaning duties.
• Willingness to attend Health and Safety training.
