Job summary

Two Gates Primary School in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a reliable Site Manager for the day-to-day management and maintenance of the school site. 20 hours per week, four hours daily, with responsibility for safety, security and premises upkeep.

The post requires an organised, proactive individual who can work independently, manage contractors and support health and safety across the site. Previous school experience is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Good practical maintenance and DI Y skills for site tasks.
• Experience in managing or maintaining a building or site.
• Organised, reliable and able to prioritise workload.
• Can work independently and use initiative.
• Strong understanding of health and safety in a school environment.
• Confidently communicate with staff, contractors and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for security, maintenance and upkeep of the school site.
• Carry out regular checks of buildings, grounds and facilities and arrange repairs.
• Identify maintenance issues and ensure timely addressing.
• Manage and liaise with contractors and external providers.
• Support health and safety requirements, including record keeping.
• Ensure site security and respond to issues that arise.
• Manage deliveries and assist contractors and visitors accessing site.
• Undertake maintenance and practical tasks as needed.
• Keep grounds clean, safe and well presented.
• Maintain records on maintenance, health and safety and site compliance.
• Assist with emergencies and unforeseen maintenance issues.
• Work with Headteacher and school team to meet community needs.
