Job summary

Ferndale Primary School in Birmingham is seeking a highly organised Site Manager to look after the school site, infrastructure, buildings and grounds. You will be responsible for ensuring safety, security and a welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

The role requires excellent DIY skills, numeracy, computer literacy and a commitment to safety. DBS clearance is required; 37 hours per week, permanent contract and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Excellent DIY skills with experience in plumbing, carpentry or painting.
• Knowledge of Fire, Health & safety procedures.
• Numerate, computer literate and physically fit.
• DBS clearance (enhanced) required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and manage school buildings and grounds to a high standard.
• Ensure the site is safe, secure, clean and welcoming at all times.
• Oversee fixtures, fittings and general infrastructure upkeep.
• Assist with First Aid when needed and support health & safety compliance.
