Job summary

Ferndale Primary School is seeking a highly organised Site Manager to care for our school site. You will be pivotal in managing, maintaining and improving the school infrastructure, including buildings, grounds, fixtures and fittings, to ensure a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

The role requires excellent DIY skills in plumbing, carpentry or painting, with knowledge of Fire, Health & safety procedures being advantageous. DBS checks and safeguarding are required.

Job description

The Governors at Ferndale Primary School are seeking to appoint a highly organised, experienced, motivated and flexible Site Manager to take care of our school site. You will be pivotal in managing, maintaining and improving the school infrastructure. This would include the maintenance of buildings, grounds, fixtures/fittings and ensuring a clean, attractive, safe, secure, and welcoming site. We are very proud of our buildings and grounds so we especially want someone who will really care for our school, ensuring it looks its best, is safe and exemplifies the high expectations we have for our children.

We are looking for someone who has excellent DIY skills, ideally in one or more of the following plumbing, carpentry and painting. Knowledge of Fire, Health & safety procedures would be an advantage. You must be numerate, computer literate and physically fit.

The post holder will be trained as an appointed First Aider.
