Job summary

TEEM Education is seeking a School Site Manager in Surbiton to oversee the daily operation of a busy school site. You will ensure premises are safe, secure and well maintained, working with staff to support events and routine activities.

The role requires practical maintenance and a proactive, independent approach, with an Enhanced DBS and immediate availability. The position is full-time and temporary, with potential to extend based on performance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as School Caretaker, Site Manager, Premises Manager or similar maintenance/facilities role.
• Strong practical maintenance and DIY skills.
• Good health and safety understanding.
• Awareness of fire safety, Legionella and asbestos procedures.
• Good organisational skills and record-keeping.
• Independent worker with initiative and reliability.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexible and proactive approach.
• Ability to work in a busy school environment.
• Enhanced DBS clearance and UK residency required.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site.
• Carry out site inspections and identify health, safety or security issues.
• Undertake minor repairs and general maintenance tasks.
• Perform basic DIY such as painting and decorating.
• Keep premises clean, safe and fully operational.
• Maintain records on maintenance, safety, and planned preventative maintenance.
