Job summary

Remedy Education is seeking a reliable Site Manager to join a school in South East London. This full-time role suits someone with premises, caretaking or site experience, capable of supporting the day-to-day running, safety and upkeep of the school site.

You will carry out repairs, site checks, assist with opening/locking, monitor health and safety, help with events, and liaise with staff and contractors. DBS check needed or willingness to apply.

Qualifications

• Previous caretaking, premises or site experience.
• Experience working in a school or education setting is desirable.
• Strong practical maintenance skills.
• Good knowledge of health and safety procedures.
• A reliable, flexible and hands-on approach.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Confidence dealing with contractors, staff and visitors.
• An Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.

Responsibilities

• Support with the daily running and maintenance of the school site.
• Carry out general repairs, maintenance and site checks.
• Ensure the school premises are safe, secure and well maintained.
• Assist with opening and locking up the school site when required.
• Monitor health and safety across the premises.
• Support with cleaning checks, deliveries and contractor access.
• Help set up rooms and spaces for school events and daily activities.
• Report any site issues and respond quickly to maintenance requests.
• Work closely with the school office, senior leadership team and wider site staff.
