Job summary

TEEM Education in Warrington is seeking a reliable School Caretaker/Site Manager to oversee daily site operations, maintenance, and security of a busy school.

The role requires practical DIY skills, strong health and safety awareness, and the ability to work independently while coordinating with contractors and staff.

You will manage records, support events, and ensure the premises stay clean, safe and fully operational.

Qualifications

• Experience as School Caretaker or similar facilities role.
• Strong maintenance and DIY skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety including fire and asbestos awareness.
• Reliable, organized, able to work independently.
• Enhanced DBS is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily upkeep, maintenance and security of the school site.
• Maintain accurate records relating to maintenance, compliance, health and safety, and PPM checks.
• Carry out minor repairs and general maintenance duties.
• Undertake basic DIY tasks; painting and decorating advantageous.
• Ensure the premises remain clean, safe and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and oversee works carried out on site.
• Assist with setting up rooms and site logistics for events and activities.
• Support compliance procedures, including asbestos awareness and site safety monitoring.
• Identify and report health, safety or security issues promptly.
