Job summary

The Witherslack Group Ltd. is seeking a maintenance worker for one of our SEND schools. You’ll perform general repairs to keep the school running, drive school vehicles, and maintain the grounds and gardens.

You’ll also be a familiar face for students and receive safeguarding training. We offer a competitive salary and benefits package, 35 days holiday including bank holidays, induction and on-the-job training, flexible benefits, wellbeing tools, and access to medical cover.

Qualifications

• Maintenance experience, professionally or as a DIY enthusiast
• Team player with a can-do attitude
• Willing to undertake Health & Safety training
• Responsible for buying smaller maintenance equipment

Responsibilities

• Perform general day-to-day repairs to keep the school running
• Drive school vehicles and keep them in good working order
• Keep school grounds and garden neat and tidy
• Receive safeguarding training and engage with students in a constructive manner
