Job summary

Wmjobs is recruiting a Catering Assistant and Dinner Hall Supervisor to join our school team. The role is 15 hours per week, term time only, with a fixed daily schedule for lunch supervision.

The successful candidate will supervise pupils during lunchtime, assist with serving and clearing, and promote safety and good manners. DBS enhanced disclosure is required, and start date is 02/11/2026.

Qualifications

• Reliability, enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and a commitment to safeguarding and welfare of young children.

Responsibilities

• Support for Pupils: set up tables and cutlery in dinner hall; check children wash hands; supervise meals and assist with serving, cutting up food, and table manners; clear down after lunch.
• Attend to spillages, assist with clearing of tables, trays and waste; supervise packed lunches and report incidents to staff; may supervise in playground or classroom during bad weather and offer play activities.
