Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. As a Catering Assistant, you will support our kitchen in basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

We offer term-time hours (15.75 per week, 38 weeks per year) at £13.20 per hour, with full training provided. A DBS check is required, and you’ll join a team focused on quality and patient customer care in school environments.

Qualifications

• Team player able to thrive in a busy kitchen environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred but training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Take customer orders and operate tills during service with training provided.
• Provide friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Assist with basic food preparation and kitchen tasks.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen and comply with health and safety standards.
