Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school kitchen and help deliver great food and service during the lunchtime rush.

You will assist with basic food preparation, interact with customers at the till, and help maintain a clean, safe kitchen environment. Training is provided for all duties.

Work Monday to Friday during school term time: 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, at £14.80 per hour. DBS check will be enhanced as part of safeguarding duties.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy school kitchen.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is a plus, training can be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer interaction on tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-line service to students and staff with friendly, polite manners.
• Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health & Safety compliance.
