Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking an Area Catering Assistant to support kitchens within your area, delivering friendly service and helping with basic food preparation to keep lunchtimes running smoothly.

You’ll work in a busy school environment, interact with students and staff at the till, follow safety standards, and join a team committed to safeguarding children. You will work 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, at £13 per hour, with DBS disclosure sought as part of the safeguarding process.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is advantageous but training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers at the till during service with training provided.
• Provide friendly front-line service to students and staff.
• Assist with basic food preparation.
• Maintain a clean, safe kitchen and follow Health and Safety guidelines.
