Job summary

Aspens Services is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We’re looking for a Catering Assistant to join our team and support the kitchen with basic food preparation and provide excellent lunchtime service.

You’ll work Monday to Friday during school term time (30 hours a week, 36 weeks per year) at £12.71 per hour, with full training and DBS disclosure required. This role offers work-life balance and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Team player in a busy school catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred, training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service.
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Keeping the kitchen safe and compliant with Health & Safety.
