Job summary

Aspens Services is seeking a Chef Manager to take full operational and financial responsibility for a school catering facility. You will lead the kitchen team, manage GP, and drive quality and service excellence in line with our education sector standards.

You will develop menus, run monthly promotions, and perform regular audits to ensure compliance with health and safety and legislation, while delivering great value and memorable meals for pupils.

Qualifications

• Experience in GP management and achieving sales targets.
• Proven line management experience.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Qualification like OND/HND is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Financial Control: Managing and improving controllable costs (stock, food, labour).
• Team Leadership: Lead, coach, train and inspire your kitchen team to deliver excellence.
• Culinary Innovation: Oversee menu development and drive sales through promotions and events.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure standards, systems and legislation are met through audits.
