Job summary

Cityserve, the Birmingham City Council catering service for school meals, is hiring a General Assistant for St Augustines RC Junior, Infant & Nursery. This permanent post is graded A with a salary of £25,614–£28,153 pro rata for 10 hours per week, with term-time only hours 11:30am–1:30pm.

Responsibilities include keeping the kitchen clean, maintaining a balanced menu, and considering pupils' dietary needs. You will work with managers to ensure high-quality food delivery in schools, with previous

Qualifications

• Food Safety Level 2 certificate in date.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Allergy Awareness Certificate in date.
• Experience in a similar environment.
• High standards and quality drive.
• A ‘can do’ attitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean & tidy
• maintain a balanced diet and varied menus
• be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences
• You will work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure the first-class delivery of food in schools kitchens both in and outside of performance times.
• Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role
