Barford School General Assistant is a permanent, term-time post within Birmingham City Council's Cityserve catering service. It offers a 15-hour week with pay pro rata to hours worked, based on a Grade A scale.

The role requires maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting balanced menus, and being attentive to dietary needs, with collaboration across managers to ensure high-quality school meals.

Formación

• Essential: Food Safety Level 2 certificate in date
• Essential: Allergy Awareness Certificate in date
• Essential: Experience in a similar environment
• Essential: Good verbal and written communication skills
• Essential: High standards and quality drive
• Essential: A 'can do' attitude

Responsabilidades

• Assist in keeping the kitchen clean & tidy
• Maintain a balanced diet and varied menus
• Be aware of the care users’ needs and dietary preferences
• Work collaboratively with managers and supervisors to ensure first-class delivery of food in schools kitchens both in and outside of performance times
• Previous kitchen experience is essential to this role
