Job summary

Sodexo at Bligh Primary School in Rochester is seeking a General Assistant to support the daily food service operation and help keep the kitchen and dining areas clean and welcoming. You will work 20 hours per week with a focus on delivering friendly, high-quality service across meal times.

The role is term-time only (38 weeks), permanent, part-time, with shifts Monday to Friday, 10:00am–2:00pm, and paid at £12.71 per hour. Full training will be provided to support your success.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritise tasks.
• Previous catering or food service experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and serving of food and beverages
• Maintain clean, safe and hygienic kitchen and dining areas
• Replenish food displays and service counters as required
• Support deliveries and store supplies appropriately
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures
• Provide a friendly and helpful service to customers, colleagues or visitors
