Job summary

Sodexo is seeking a General Kitchen Assistant at Senacre Wood Primary School in Maidstone. The role covers serving food to pupils, keeping the dining area clean, and supporting lunchtime service.

Working with a small team, you’ll help prepare and serve meals, maintain hygiene, and help with deliveries and restocking. The position is term-time only, 38 weeks, 15 hours per week, Mon–Fri, 11:00–14:00, with permanent part-time status.

About the Role

Working alongside another team member, you’ll help serve food to pupils, maintain the dining hall and ensure the kitchen and service areas are kept clean and organised. The food will be prepared at St John’s and delivered to Senacre Wood Primary School, so your focus will be on providing an efficient and welcoming service to pupils and maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness throughout the school’s dining areas.

You’ll work as part of a small team and, once the food containers have been returned to St John’s, you may be required to complete the final cleaning and close-down of the service area independently.

Additional Information

Term Time Only - Equated Pay
This role works 38 weeks per year. Your salary will be paid in equal monthly instalments across 12 months, meaning you receive consistent pay throughout the year, including during school closure periods.
