Job summary

Impact Food Group is recruiting a Cook at Barlby High School to support the Chef Manager in delivering nutritious meals for students and staff during term-time. The role is 8.30am–2pm, Monday to Friday, 39 weeks per year, with a salary of £15,620.83 per annum for 27.5 hours weekly.

You don’t need to be a fully trained chef; training and development are provided. Expect friendly teamwork, paid breaks, and free meals on shift, with opportunities to progress in catering.

Qualifications

• Basic cooking skills and willingness to learn
• Strong team spirit and reliability
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a range of meals following set menus
• Assist with food prep using fresh, seasonal ingredients
• Support with service, including counter work and till when required
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining environment
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health & safety procedures at all times
