Impact Food Group is hiring a Chef at Barlby High School in Yorks, delivering fresh, high-quality meals for students and staff. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8.30am-2pm, 39 weeks per year (term-time plus inset days), with a salary of £15,620.83 per annum.

You’ll support the Chef Manager, prepare meals, cook with seasonal ingredients for 200+ covers, and help with occasional counter service while upholding hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally within a school or contract catering environment.
• Passion for cooking with fresh ingredients and delivering quality food.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards.
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards.

Responsabilités

• Assist with preparation of main meals and snacks for students and staff.
• Cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients for high-volume service.
• Support with counter service and till work as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining environment.
