Job summary

Impact Food Group is hiring a Chef at The Marlborough C of E School in Banbury. You will support the onsite Chef Manager, preparing fresh meals for students and staff during term-time, 39 weeks a year, with shifts from 7am to 2.30pm (35 hours weekly).

Working days are Monday to Friday with no evenings or weekends, giving a strong work–life balance. Benefits include free meals on shift, ongoing training, career progression and a staff discount scheme across 850+ retailers.

Qualifications

• Experience as a chef, ideally in school or contract catering
• Passion for cooking with fresh ingredients
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety standards
• Reliability and pride in maintaining high standards

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of main meals and snacks
• Cook with fresh, seasonal ingredients for high-volume service (200+ covers)
• Support with counter service and till work as needed
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen and dining environment
