Job summary

CH&CO is recruiting an ambitious Chef on a part-time basis (30 hours/week). The role offers progression from Catering Assistant and is contracted to 43.6 weeks per year, with a competitive hourly rate of £15.50.

You will prepare and serve high-quality food, supervise, and help shape menus while upholding safety and hygiene standards. You will thrive in a team-oriented environment with opportunities for career development and access to employee benefits.

Qualifications

• City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or NVQ equivalent is required.
• Food Hygiene Certificate is required.
• Experience supervising a team is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare delicious, high-quality food for clients and customers.
• Oversee and implement menu changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve the food service offerings.
• Listen to customer feedback and act to improve services; support creation of new menus and concepts.
• Represent CH&CO and maintain a positive brand image.
• Monitor inventories to keep kitchens well-stocked.
• Oversee kitchen cleaning to maintain hygiene standards.
• Comply with Food Handling, Hygiene and Health and Safety regulations.
