Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Food Service Assistant to join our team in Stocksfield. You will work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday (28 hours per week) with a pay rate of £13.15 per hour. Role includes food preparation, service, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.

The position is based in a co-educational boarding school and offers engaging catering for around 300 students and staff, with occasional overtime for events.

Qualifications

• Experience in a busy kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food for service following hygiene and safety standards.
• Keep kitchen clean and tidy per Chef Manager and company standards.
• Restock and replenish stocks during service periods to ensure smooth operation.
• Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment and store equipment properly.
• Carry out cleaning/hygiene duties and handle food temperatures checks.
• Interact respectfully with customers and staff.
