Berkeley Scott are looking for reliable, enthusiastic and hardworking Kitchen Assistants to join our team working within a school environment in Leicester.

As a Kitchen Assistant, you'll support the catering team in keeping the school kitchen running smoothly and efficiently, handling food prep, service and hygiene duties in a busy educational setting.

Qualifications

• Kitchen, catering or hospitality experience desirable
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required or willing to obtain
• Food Allergen certificate required or willing to obtain
• Enhanced DBS required
• 2 references required
• Reliable, hardworking and positive attitude
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy environment
• Professional approach to working within a school setting

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals
• Supporting the catering team during busy service periods
• Preparing ingredients and keeping work areas clean and organised
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment
• Following food safety, hygiene and allergen procedures
• Assisting with stock rotation and correct food storage
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene
• Helping provide a friendly and professional service to pupils and staff
• Working effectively as part of a busy catering team
