Qualifications

• Previous kitchen/catering or food service experience is desirable.
• Enhanced DBS is required.
• Two references required.
• Food Safety Level 2 certificate required or willingness to obtain.
• Food Allergen certificate required or willingness to obtain.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safe handling.
• Excellent reliability and timekeeping.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy school environment.
• Professional and responsible approach in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and serving.
• Support kitchen team with daily catering duties.
• Prepare ingredients and food items as required.
• Wash up and clean kitchen equipment and work areas.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Assist with school meal service.
• Follow food safety and health & safety procedures.
• Ensure safe storage, preparation and handling of food.
• Work effectively as part of the catering team.
