Thomas Franks Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a co-educational independent school in Plymouth. This term-time plus contract offers 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 14:30, across 43 weeks a year with no late nights and no weekends.

You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing meals from scratch using fresh seasonal ingredients, following brand standards, and delivering quality food and service. Training, progression and benefits are available.

Formación

• You will have previous experience of working within a fast-paced kitchen as a Kitchen Assistant.
• You will be excited to work with fresh seasonal ingredients & regularly changing bespoke menus. You will be creative and have the opportunity to showcase your skillset.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good understanding and use of verbal English.
• Ability to demonstrate reasonable / good standard of written English and reading skills.

Responsabilidades

• To work well in a team, providing food and a great service
• To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the companies brand standards
• Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
• Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
• Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage
• Excellent customer service skills
• Great team player
• Be able to help the Chefs with some food prep
