Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited is seeking reliable Catering Assistants for temporary work in Headley, Newbury, and surrounding Berkshire schools. Pay ranges from £12.71 to £14.50 per hour, with holiday pay and flexible agency placements.

Responsibilities include basic food prep, washing up, cleaning equipment, serving meals to pupils and staff, and maintaining a hygienic kitchen. DBS check is required or willingness to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months kitchen experience in the UK.
• Clean Enhanced DBS check for the Child Workforce, or willingness to obtain one.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking attitude.
• Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with basic food preparation.
• Washing up and cleaning kitchen equipment.
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and hygienic kitchen environment.
• Assisting with serving meals to pupils and school staff.
• Following food hygiene, health & safety, and safeguarding procedures.
• Supporting the kitchen team with general duties as required.
