Job summary

Berkeley Scott Limited is recruiting reliable General Assistants to support school catering in Henley-on-Thames and surrounding areas. The role offers flexible, school-friendly daytime hours with immediate starts and ongoing temporary placements across local schools.

Pay ranges from £13.00 to £14.80 per hour, depending on school and shift requirements. A DBS check for the Child Workforce is required before starting, with full DBS preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous catering, hospitality, kitchen, or customer service experience is beneficial.
• You must hold a valid Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce and be willing to undergo the check.
• Be reliable, punctual and able to work well within a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with food preparation and serving meals.
• Setting up and clearing dining areas.
• Operating tills where required.
• Washing up and maintaining kitchen cleanliness.
• Supporting chefs and catering teams with daily tasks.
• Following food hygiene and health and safety procedures at all times.
