You will support chefs with daily kitchen operations, assist with food preparation and service, and ensure cleanliness and food hygiene standards. Applicants should have catering experience, food safety and allergen knowledge, an enhanced DBS or willingness to obtain one, and

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a Kitchen Assistant or Catering Assistant
• Food Safety and Food Allergen certificates, or willingness to complete them
• Enhanced DBS with Children''s Barred List Check, or willingness to obtain one
• Reliable, professional, and hardworking attitude
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Supporting chefs and catering managers with daily kitchen operations
• Assisting with the preparation of hot and cold food items
• Serving meals to students and staff
• Setting up and replenishing food service counters
• Clearing and cleaning dining and kitchen areas
• Washing utensils, crockery, and kitchen equipment
• Following food safety, allergen, and hygiene regulations at all times
• Assisting with deliveries and stock rotation
• Supporting the kitchen team to ensure an efficient service
• Completing end-of-shift cleaning duties
