Job summary

The Vale Federation in the United Kingdom is seeking an IT Technician to support the efficient operation of the school’s IT services. You will report to the IT and Finance Manager and be responsible for managing and maintaining the school's technology infrastructure, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and providing technical support to staff and students.

The role requires experience of supporting a Microsoft environment and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Qualifications

Experience of supporting a Microsoft environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students and suppliers/contractors
Ability to work alone or as part of a team to fulfil business needs

Responsibilities

Managing and maintaining the school's technology infrastructure.
Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Ensuring the functionality of computers, printers and network systems.
Providing technical support to staff and students.
Installing and updating software; managing user accounts and permissions.
Overseeing cybersecurity measures.
Ensuring technology systems run smoothly to support teaching and learning activities.
Assisting in setting up and maintaining classroom tech tools like interactive whiteboards and projectors.
